α-PINENE
Product Description:
Category:Natural
α-Pinene is a naturally occurring bicyclic monoterpene and the most abundant terpene in nature. It is a colorless to pale yellow mobile liquid with a distinctive fresh, woody-pine aroma with resinous undertones. As the primary component of turpentine oil (constituting 60–80%), it is also found in high concentrations in conifer resins, rosemary, sage, and citrus peels. This versatile compound exists as two enantiomers: (+)-α-pinene and (−)-α-pinene, each offering unique functional properties.
